The Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass was first outed by a GameStop memo last July, though at the time, the game’s DLC was shrouded in mystery. No longer. Ubisoft has announced that five DLC packs are en route to Assassin’s Creed 3 over the course of six months, headlined by The Tyranny of King Washington, an alternate history campaign that will span three downloadable episodes. As for the remaining two DLC offerings, Ubisoft promises (on the Assassin’s Creed 3 website) “new maps and characters” in addition to “other single-player missions.”

The Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass will cost $29.99 on the PlayStation Network, and 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE. Additionally, both versions of the downloadable, PSN exclusive Assassin’s Creed 3 Gold Edition ($119.99 for AC3 and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, $89.99 for AC3 alone) include the Season Pass. Ubisoft promises that all Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC will be also available on Wii U, though it doesn’t currently appear that a Season Pass is in the works for that system - which may prove to be a sore point with players, given that the Pass is said to cost 25% less than buying all five DLC packs individually.
