(Update 1/27/2019: 2:30 p.m. EST.)- Our first official look at Revenant has just been revealed in a new teaser video from Outlands TV, the imagined news station in the Apex universe. He certainly looks as scary as we thought he would be. A massive leak for Apex Legends has been found in the game’s code, featuring abilities for unreleased Legends Revenant and Loba. Information and concept art for these characters has been available via datamines for months, but now skillful observers have managed to find a new cache of abilities and changes....

Starting with the more imminent release date, Apex Legends comes to Steam November 4 alongside the launch of the Season 7 Battle Pass. In that vein, those who previously partook in playing Apex on Origin will be able to switch back and forth between the two storefronts at will with full cross-progression support. In other words, any purchases you make on Steam will migrate to Origin and vice versa. Those who opt to play on Steam can also get these Valve-inspired gun charms for free....

It looks like that was the case with the Army of Two franchise’s latest installment The Devil’s Cartel. The game was quietly released to poor and mediocre reviews last year, quickly escaping some press and gamers’ minds upon release. While the series has never taken off in the way EA would have undoubtedly hoped - and never delivered on its potential - The Devil’s Cartel by some’s interpretation represented an even further step backwards for the series....

Technically, this is not a question. Technically, I left open the possibility of non-questions being submitted by asking “what’s on your mind?” What’s on Jo’s mind? Tacos. So imagine where Assassin’s Creed would be today if it revolved around campaign co-op. Specifically, drop-in/drop-out co-op, the kind that would allow players to join each other’s open worlds as accessory assassins, coming and going as they please. As it turns out, that was – ever so briefly – part of Ubisoft’s plan. Philippe Bergeron is the mission director for Assassin’s Creed 3 who has been working with the franchise since its inception....

The idea of seeing Assassin’s Creed make a leap into live-action on the big screen won’t have many fans of the series in shock, since the potential has been there for years. The developers over at Ubisoft are clearly aware of it, expanding beyond the realm of gaming and filming a live-action short film, Lineage, which illuminated some aspects of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. For fans who preferred the fictional version of Ezio Auditore to any human being, there is also the short animated film Assassin’s Creed: Embers....

At this point Ubisoft has earned the right to flex their narrative muscles, carrying fans through four games steeped with science fiction and historical intrigue. So when Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed 3 would be emphasizing not Benjamin Franklin’s inventions, but his love of women, it was clear they were going to be bringing something new to the founding fathers. Apparently the innovations don’t end there, as both the new hero Connor and even the shadowy Templars themselves won’t be confined to just one side of the conflict....

Whaling is only one part (and likely a small one at that) of the Assassin’s Creed 4 experience, but still PETA calls the game’s inclusion of it “disgraceful.” PETA claims that the game “glorifies” a bloody industry that is still a problem today. Although details are fairly slim regarding the whaling in Assassin’s Creed 4, early previews of the game from a recent press event did reveal the transition from sea to shore is nearly seamless....

Admittedly, specially-licensed versions of the classic board game are nothing new for pop culture entertainment properties, but that doesn’t mean the AC variant isn’t worth a look for the diehard fan or collector. For starters, the game’s artwork includes Rich Uncle Pennybags as glimpsed through an alternate universe; one in which his resources and clear ambition was channeled into the Assassin Order, as opposed to good old-fashioned capitalism. Replacing the standard player pieces with their choice of past Assassin protagonists - Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Ratonhnhaké:ton, Aveline de Grandpré, Edward Kenway and Arno Dorian - and signature locations along the board with the likes of ‘Abstergo Entertainment’ and ‘Abstergo Industries....

While playing Rogue and speaking with the developers at a recent preview event (read our full impressions of the game here), it became clear that the developers at Ubisoft weren’t dipping their toe in the world of the Templars. New hero Shay Patrick Cormac is hunting down Assassins with a vengeance, and casting any notion that the Assassin Order is without guilt or failure to the winds. Players have been given a general idea of how the Assassins and Templars established footholds in North America thanks to Black Flag, following Edward Kenway until 1725....

Made using purely CG, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla trailer begins with the voice of a man who calls the vikings barbarians who kill indiscriminately. The trailer juxtaposes these claims with the vikings–and the main character–doing the opposite showing that they are more than their reputation. Before we dive deeper check out the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla below. The narrator is an Anglo-Saxon, people who feuded with the vikings hundreds of years ago, and states that they need to speak with them “in a language that they understand,” which means by bloodshed and war....
